Lily Cottage, Dartmouth

Sleeps 4

Lily Cottage is a charming character cottage tucked away in quiet corner not far from Dartmouth town centre. Perfect for a self catering holiday in Dartmouth, Lily Cottage is much loved and finished to an extremely high standard. Located on the level, within easy walking distance from the town centre and the river, the property benefits from a fair sized garden complete with rattangarden furniture. This self catering holiday property is ideal for a couple or a small family.

Accommodation: The property is accessed via a couple of small steps approaching the front door, there is a hallway with room for coats and boots with access to the shower room with electric shower, electric heated towel rail, toilet and basin. To the right is the cosy living room with sofa and armchairs, freesat TV, soundbar, DVD player and Sono speaker. Limed oak effect floor, wooden plantation shutters, electric woodburner effect fire and underfloor heating. At the rear of the property is the kitchen complete with electric double oven, small fridge with freezer, built in fan heater, painted dresser, butler sink and small dishwasher. Four deep steps lead up from the kitchen into a bright and airy dining room with vaulted ceiling. Again with lime oak effect flooring with underfloor heating, dining table, seating for six, sideboard and a wood burner with cosy seating beside.

Upstairs: From the kitchen there is a narrow staircase which takes you to the first floor where you will find the two bedrooms, one with double bed and the second bedroom with a day bed that can be extended to make a double or twin. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes, plantation shutters, limed effect floors and freestanding electric radiators.

Outside: From the front door there is a fair sized enclosed garden on the opposite side of the path. Due to the property’s location there is no private parking, however there is a year round parking pass for *Mayors Avenue car park and usually on-street parking between the property and town. It is possible to park close to the cottage to unload.

Please be aware of the traditional nature of this old fisherman’s cottage. Steep staircase may cause access issues for certain guests and that being an old cottage the ceiling heights and door frames are low.

*The car park pass is valid across the South Hams for use in long stay council run car parks, so as well as Dartmouth you can park for free at Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge and Modbury.
