Kittiwake, Dartmouth

Located on Above Town, Kittiwake boasts outstanding panoramic views over the river from all rooms as well as it’s fantastic decked terrace. Finished to a very high standard Kittiwake is the perfect accommodation for 2 couples or a small family, a short walk from Dartmouth town center and the River Dart or in the other direction to the South West Cast Path.

Enter from the road to the second floor hallway, on this floor are the first of the two bedrooms, family bathroom and a storage room. The first bedroom has a kingsize bed along with wardrobe and river views. The family bathroom on this floor has a shower, toilet and basin.

 

Downstairs to the first floor where you will find the second bedroom and the living room. Both rooms have juliette balconies making the rooms light and airy as well as really making the most of the unrestricted views. The second bedroom has a standard double bed and a walk in wardrobe. The living space is tastefully furnished with 2 sofas, TV, DVD, effect fireplace. There are plenty of books and DVDs available to guests.

 

Downstairs again to the open plan kitchen diner, with oak floors, granite worktops and high gloss units. The kitchen is well equipped with double electric oven with gas hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and radio/ipod dock. The dining table comfortably seats 6 guests. Patio doors that access the decked terrace provide loads of natural light.

 

Outside there is a large decked area with outdoor dining furniture separated by a glass balustrade. Down to a lower gravel area and smaller decked area. There are stairs down ths side of the building that take you back up to the road. Due to the property’s location there is no private parking, however there is a year round parking pass for *Mayors Avenue car park and usually on-street parking between the property and town. It is possible to park close to the cottage to unload.

 

*The car park pass is valid across the South Hams for use in long stay council run car parks, so as well as Dartmouth you can park for free at Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge and Modbury.

 

Nearby:
A short walk down the road will take you to the centre of Dartmouth where you will find a great selection of pubs restaurants and cafes including Mitch Tonks‘ Seahorse and Rockfish. Cafe Alfresco is locally renowned for breakfasts and the Anchorstone Cafe on Coronation Park is perfect for lunch in the sun.

 

Unfortunately due to the layout of the property we do not feel the property is suitable for children under 5.

Arrival time is after 3pm and departure time is by 10am. Access is via a key safe, therefore it does not matter if you are arriving late at night.

In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Friday changeover and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact us with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible.
Out of peak season we don’t need to keep to a Friday changeover.

To get you started on arrival you will find a small quantity of –  tea, coffee and sugar as well as salt and pepper, dish washing tablets, washing up liquid, j-cloths and scourers, bin bags, hand soap and toilet roll.
