Barton Cottage, East Cornworthy

Sleeps 4

Barton Cottage is a delightful rural holiday cottage set in the hamlet of East Cornworthy, South Devon, less than a mile from the popular riverside village of Dittisham. Situated midway between Totnes and Dartmouth, Barton Cottage is within easy reach of the coast and the river Dart, making it perfect for visiting the beaches as well as walking through the countryside. Barton Cottage welcomes dogs and has a parking space.

Accommodation: The front door leads into a spacious hallway with plenty of space for hanging coats and boots, beautiful exposed woodwork sets the tone for the style of this property. The charming sitting room to the right has double aspect windows, one with views across the valley and the other looking onto the garden, an open fire, sofa and Smart TV with DVD; exposed stone work in the living room gives the room plenty of character. The kitchen diner is again accessed from the hallway and benefits from double aspect windows, with bespoke painted kitchen units, electric double oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and Tassimo coffee maker. Dining table and chairs.

Upstairs: There are two lovely bright bedrooms a kingsize and a double as well as a family bathroom. Both bedrooms benefit from traditional vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and roof windows. The well appointed family bathroom is complete with basin, toilet, bath with fixed over head shower and a hand held shower.

Outside: Barton Cottage is approached down stone steps from the shared driveway where there is a parking space, into a very pretty sheltered garden with lawn and mature flower beds and pretty rambling roses and honeysuckle. Garden furniture make this an ideal spot for evening barbecues. There is a separate utility room which houses the freezer and storage space for bikes, kayaks, pushchairs etc.
