Quay Cottage is a much loved holiday cottage sitting on The Quay at Dittisham. Overlooking the river Dart. This quayside holiday cottage provides the perfect combination of old character cottage with modern comforts in the most beautiful of locations South Devon has to offer. Perfect for self catering family holidays in South Devon, Quay Cottage is in a beautiful location that benifits from great views and unrivalled access to the river.

Accommodation: The property is entered via a stable door on the quayside, double doors open from the hallway into the character living room with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, exposed beams and wonderful river views. There is also comfortable sofas and  TV with DVD player. Two steps up from the hall takes you to the well equipped kitchen dining area at the rear of the property. The kitchen is complete with dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave.

Upstairs: The first floor is accessed via the open tread staircase in the kitchen. The master bedroom is at the rear of the property and light and airy room set into the eaves has exposed beams and a 5′ bed with an adjacent shower room with toilet and basin. The master bedroom also has access to the rear patio via a pair of patio doors. At the front of the property there are two more bedrooms both with river views. One room has a double bed and the other a triple bunk bed. (The top bunk is 7ft from the floor, which we do not feel is suitable for children under 5). There is a second bathroom on this floor with bath, shower, toilet and basin.

Outside: There is garden furniture at the front of the property where you can sit an enjoy the quayside watching the boats go by. There is also a rear patio accessed via a steep set of stairs from the kitchen or the master bedroom which in turn leads to an elevated deck with garden furniture and river views. Due to the properties location there is no private parking however at low tide you can stop on the beach to unload. There is a car park 250 yards away up a steep hill from the quay.

“What a wonderful place – a real gem! As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. The furnishings are comfy and the eye for detail is appreciated and gives the air of luxury. The views are fabulous and just to sit and watch activities on the water is so relaxing. Thank you for allowing us to stay – can we come again please?” – Mr and Mrs Harper – May 2017
