“Pridhams was the best place we have ever stayed at especially over the past 35 years and will definitely go again for two weeks as anything less would not be enough. It has everything you need and more. We had a wonderful welcome pack including bread, local eggs and milk so we did not have to shop until the following day. Also left for our convenience was tea, coffee and cooking ingredients. We were greeted with a pack of wonderful home made scones, clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam and marmalade with whisky! Never before have we been spoilt like this wen staying at a holiday home.  The beds were very cosy with first-class linen and ample towels and even tea towels. Toilet paper and kitchen paper were provided as well. There was plenty of piping hot water and outside a good extendable clothesline for drying any washing.  The terrace was spacious and quiet making a wonderful sunny spot to relax with everything you could wish for: cushioned recliners talbe and chairs and a large sun unbrella.  There was also a barbeque and an outside heater. Patio terrace is stocked with tropical potted plants and flowers, a real delight. The layout of the house (a cleverly converted barn) placed the lounge upstairs in open plan with kitchen/breakfast area.  Access to the outside terrace is through patio doors from the well furnished roomy lounge. A wide range of entertainment provided for use with a DVD player, connected to a satellite TV, and with CDs for HiFi. There are plenty of comfortable chairs to relax in to enjoy the high open beamed ceilings.  There is a cupboard full of toys for children. When packing up to leave I noted thre were not only two hair dryers but also an electric shaver and a first aid box!  We also noted the dog baske with welcome goodies for dog visitors! Books are provided showing various local walk routes. Thank you so much Maggie and John for the wonderful and generous welcome and for the tour of your garden with John’s prize vegetables” Glenys and Richard – 12 July 2017

Master bedroom is large with a king size comfy bed and adequate storage & dressing table. Bathroom has the usual facilities with a good (fixed) shower. 2nd bedroom is delightful twin bedded room ideal for either children or a couple, again with wardrobe and drawers etc. Upstairs is a spacious kitchen and high ceiling end lounge area leading out onto a large patio area which is a real sun trap. Sun loungers, garden table and chairs plus Bbq all make this a great place for families or couples. Pub 100 yds away. Three other good pubs/eating places within a couple of miles so plenty of options. “A lovely week here at Pridhams. Mainly excellent weather has enabled us to do all the things we planned, in particular we enjoyed the South Devon Railway & the ‘Round Robin from Totnes. We’ve done lots of walking – thanks for providing the excellent ‘Pathfinder’ guide – the walk from here to Tuckenhay & Dittisham is a gem, as are all the coastal walks and the lovely stroll from Loddiswell. Pridhams has been a very comfortable base – a lovely house with everything provided that one could possibly need. Sincere thanks for the welcome basket – the scones were superb. The freshly picked raspberries were lovely, very kind of you. Thanks again for a lovely week.” – Andre & Cindy – September 2014
