Duck Cottage, Tuckenhay is a superb holiday cottage located right on the waters edge at Bow Creek, a pretty tidal creek off the river Dart between Totnes and Dartmouth. One of the prettiest spots for a self catering holiday in South Devon.  Tuckenhay is well served with two excellent waterside pubs and lovely countryside walks. A short drive takes you to great beaches or up to the wilds Dartmoor. Duck Cottage is beautifully appointed and has two bedrooms each with their own bathroom so ideal for 2 couples to share or a family with older children.

Accommodation: The front door opens immediately into the cosy living room, with sofa and armchairs, side tables and TV with DVD player. The exposed beams gives the room a real country cottage feel. The far end of the living room leads into to the sun room. The sun room is a lovely light filled room with french doors into the patio garden. The sun room looks out over the creek and is a wonderful quiet spot to read or watch the bird life on the river. The utility room is accessed from the sun room, here you will find the tumble drier and freezer.

The well equipped kitchen diner is at the rear of the property, the classic country cottage theme continues throughout with tiled floor and exposed beams. The kitchen window offers views over the creek and is complete with induction hob, oven, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The dining table seats four comfortably.

Upstairs: Glass sided stairs lead up from the living room; on this level there is a super kingsize double bedroom with zip and link beds so can be a twin (please request at time of booking)  and family bathroom with toilet, basin, bath with shower over and views of the creek. Up a further set of stairs is the master double bedroom with kingsize bed, dual aspect views over the water and ensuite shower room with toilet, shower and basin.  The house has central heating with underfloor heating on the ground floor.

Outside: The patio garden accessed from the sun room is right on the water and has wrought iron garden furniture this is a lovely tranquil place to unwind at the end of the day.

There is space to park at the front of the property.

Due to the proximity to the water we do not feel this property is suitable for young children.
